From AD Vision, this hilarious comedy comes in three volumes, each an hour in length. The story concerns the adventures of Nuku Nuku (hereafter referred to as NN), a cute teenage girl who is actually an android with the brain of a house cat (literally).

The first volume opens with NN's creator on the lamb from his ex-wife with his young son Ryu in tow. His ex-wife's munitions firm wanted to use his inventions for weapons which he didn't like. He also decided that is was an unhealthy environment for Ryu, so he packed up Ryu and his invention and bugged out. This didn't sit well with Ryu's mom, so she sent two of her lackeys out in an attack chopper to track them down. While Ryu and his dad are resting from the chase, Ryu finds a stray cat and adopts it, then suddenly the two lackeys find them and attack. Ryu and his pop escape but the cat is killed leaving Ryu heartbroken. Ryu's pop looks at his invention (a powerful humanoid robot) and the cat and tells Ryu he's going to give him the best Christmas present ever. Thus Nuku Nuku is born.

That is just the series intro. They have many humorous adventures dealing with the machinations of Ryu's mom and with acclimating NN to human society (she has to practice things like noticing when someone accidentally extinguishes a cigarette on her hand).

This series is full of zany slapstick humor and ludicrous situations in a similar vein to Urusei Yatsura or Ushio & Tora. If you are looking for some good laughs then pick this one up!
